The furnace chambers involve very high operating temperature in the range of 1000 to 1200 °C. Normally inside chambers are covered with thick layer of refractory ceramics bricks which bring down the temperature below 300 °C, The heat losses will take place from furnace outer to surrounding.
AGNI Boards are used on outer side of brick lining as a back up insulation to avoid heat losses in surroundings. Due to very low thermal conductivity of Agni Boards, heat losses will be less & Outer temperature will come down to 60 °C with 75 mm thickness ofAgni Boards. This in turn will lead to high saving in total energy cost of the furnace.
